Başak Baksu

Gynecologist

Dr. Başak Baksu completed her secondary and high school education at İstanbul American Robert College. She graduated from İstanbul Medical Faculty at 1994. She got her specialty training in obstetrics and gynecology at Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital between 1996-2000.

In 2000, she received a scholarship for Astra Zeneca for laparoscopy training for young speacialist and got her laparoscopic surgery training at Infertility Department of İstanbul Medical Faculty.

She visited Prenatal Diagnosis and Treatment Center of Istanbul Medical Faculty Gynecology and Obstetrics Department for various periods between 2005-2007. In 2007, she was an observer at Toronto University Mount Sinai Hospital Obstetrics and Gynecology Department Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division and The Hospital for Sick Children Pediatrics Department Division of Cardiology Fetal Echocardiology Unit. In 2014, she was an observer in the field of fetal intervention and fetal echocardiography at Universtität Bonn Medizinische Fakultät Zentrum für Geburtshilfe und Pränatalmedizin.

She worked as a consultant specialist for 20 years at various training and research hospitals in İstanbul. She became associate professor in 2013. She has a subspeciality degree in perinatology since 2011. She is a lecturer at Nişantaşı University and attained her professor title in 2018.

She has various international and national published scientific articles, chapters in various books and book translations. Her biography has been chosen to be published in ‘Marquis Who’s Who in the World’ yearbook since 2007.

She received aesthetic genital surgery and cosmetology training from ISAGSS in 2022. She has been working at private sector since 2017.
